How we work
Editorial policy
Our guides help you decide where to go and what to expect at the door. This page explains how they are made and what you can hold us to.
Real people, named
Every guide shows who wrote it and who reviewed it. Authors and reviewers are real people, each with a photo and a short bio they wrote and confirmed themselves. The reviewer is always someone other than the author, and nobody approves their own article.
How a guide is made
- We start from a question a visitor really asks, such as how the guest list works or what the dress code is.
- The author writes it, going to the venue and taking their own photos when it is a review, and citing sources when we rely on them.
- Before it goes live, someone re-checks the details it relies on: opening hours, age rules, dress codes and guest list cutoffs. We do not publish a guide whose last check is more than 30 days old.
- A second person reviews it. Only then can it be published.
Details come from the venue page
Venue cards, comparison tables and “on this week” lists inside a guide are filled from the venue’s own page, so they change when the venue changes them. When a venue has not published a detail, we leave it out instead of guessing.
Updates and corrections
Each guide shows when it was last updated. That date only moves when something that matters has changed, such as a rule, a time or a price, and the change is listed under “Updates to this guide”. Fixing a typo does not change the date. If you find a mistake, tell us and we will check it and correct it.
How we use AI
We may use AI tools to help outline, draft or translate. AI never publishes anything: a person reviews every guide, and a guide that used AI says so on the page.
Money and independence
Guestlist Ticket earns revenue when people book through us, and every guide says so. We do not sell placement in our guides, and we do not sell links meant to influence search rankings. If we ever publish paid content with a venue or brand, it is clearly labelled and any paid link is marked as sponsored. Venues cannot edit a guide before it is published. See also how we rank venues.
